Peel Regional Police are looking into two separate incidents of arson that occurred overnight on Sunday in Brampton and Mississauga, Ontario. The authorities responded to a fire call at a residence near Erin Mills Parkway and Eglinton Avenue W. around 12:30 a.m. No injuries were reported in connection with the fire.
In another incident, a neighbour alerted Mississauga Fire after seeing flames outside a house. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire, and the residents were safely evacuated. In a different location, Peel police responded to a vehicle fire near Queen Street East and Rutherford Road at approximately 1:30 a.m. Fortunately, the vehicle was empty, and there were no injuries reported.
Both cases are currently under investigation as arson, though authorities do not suspect a connection between the two incidents at this time.
