“Bad Bunny Makes History at 68th Grammy Awards”

At the 68th annual Grammy Awards, Bad Bunny made history by becoming the first Latin artist to win the prestigious Album of the Year award for his album titled DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS. The Puerto Rican singer, set to perform at the upcoming Super Bowl half-time show, beat out a strong lineup of contenders including Kendrick Lamar, Justin Bieber, Sabrina Carpenter, Clipse, Pusha T & Malice, Lady Gaga, Leon Thomas, and Tyler, the Creator.

Kendrick Lamar also had a successful night, walking away with five Grammy Awards, including Record of the Year for his collaboration with SZA on the track luther. This achievement puts Lamar ahead of Jay-Z as the most awarded rapper in Grammy history, with a total of 27 wins.

Lady Gaga had a victorious evening as well, winning four Grammys for her album Mayhem and hit single Abracadabra, securing awards for Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Dance Pop Recording. Gaga’s success also extended to her Canadian producer, Cirkut, who received two awards, including Producer of the Year, Non-Classical.

Billie Eilish took home the Song of the Year award for the third time for her song WILDFLOWER, co-written with her brother Finneas. The Best New Artist title was claimed by British singer-songwriter Olivia Dean.

Despite receiving four nominations, Justin Bieber did not win any awards. However, he did deliver a performance of his song YUKON from his nominated album Swag.

Joni Mitchell was recognized for the Best Historical Album for her compilation Joni Mitchell Archives, Volume 4: The Asylum Years — 1976-1980. Other notable winners included Turnstile for Best Rock Album with NEVER ENOUGH, Nine Inch Nails for Best Rock Song with As Alive As You Need Me To Be, and Kendrick Lamar for Best Rap Album with GNX.

The Grammys also celebrated various genres and categories, with winners ranging from pop to country to alternative music. The night concluded with a diverse array of artists and creators being honored for their outstanding contributions to the music industry.
