“Springsteen’s New Song Criticizes Trump’s Minneapolis Actions”

Bruce Springsteen has released a new song titled “Streets of Minneapolis,” where he criticizes President Donald Trump’s immigration enforcement actions in Minneapolis. The song’s lyrics describe the city’s struggles against an oppressive force, referring to it as “King Trump’s private army.”

Springsteen dedicated the song to the people of Minneapolis and specifically mentioned two victims, Alex Pretti and Renee Good, in response to a recent fatal shooting by federal immigration agents in the city. The song starts with an acoustic guitar and vocals and gradually builds up to include a full band arrangement with a harmonica solo, ending with chants of “ICE Out!”

In a statement, a White House spokesperson, Abigail Jackson, dismissed the song as irrelevant and inaccurate, stating that the administration’s focus is on collaborating with state and local officials to remove dangerous criminal illegal immigrants.

The title of the song, “Streets of Minneapolis,” is reminiscent of Springsteen’s earlier work, particularly “Streets of Philadelphia,” which was featured in the movie “Philadelphia” in 1993. Springsteen’s critical stance towards President Trump is well-known, with the two public figures engaging in verbal clashes in the past. Last year, during a concert in England, Springsteen denounced the administration as corrupt, incompetent, and treasonous, prompting Trump to retaliate by labeling Springsteen as an “overrated” rocker.
