Three individuals have been charged by Peel police in connection with a deadly shooting that occurred in a Brampton mall parking lot earlier this month. Peel Regional Police announced in a press release that two 20-year-olds from Brampton and a 25-year-old from Toronto are now facing first-degree murder charges in relation to the incident.

The shooting took place on Dec. 8, resulting in the death of 25-year-old Jaskarn Dhaliwal of Brampton, who was shot and killed in a vehicle near Shoppers World on Main Street. Multiple gunshots were fired, and the suspects fled before law enforcement arrived at the scene.

After an investigation into the shooting, the three accused individuals were apprehended, and authorities have confirmed that they are not seeking additional suspects. Peel Regional Police stated that they believe the incident was isolated and that there is no ongoing threat to public safety.

The accused will have bail hearings at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton, as per police reports. Initially, CBC Toronto was informed by a police spokesperson that the victim’s identity would not be disclosed, but upon further inquiry, they revealed that the victim was Dhaliwal.
