Claire Thompson, Sophie Jaques, and Izzy Daniel netted consecutive goals in the third period to lead the newly established Vancouver Goldeneyes to a 4-3 triumph over the Boston Fleet on Saturday night at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit during a Takeover Tour event. Jamie Lee Rattray put Boston ahead 3-1 early in the third period before a crowd of 33,871, the third-largest attendance in league history.

Vancouver, unfazed by the deficit, responded with goals from Thompson and Jaques to level the score. Daniel then secured the lead for the Goldeneyes, and goalie Emerance Maschmeyer preserved the victory.

Tereza Vanišová and Michela Cava assisted on Thompson’s goal, while Daniel and Hannah Miller contributed to Jaques’ power-play goal. Miller also assisted on the game-winner, along with Jenn Gardiner.

Olivia Mobley opened the scoring for Boston, with Miller quickly equalizing for the Goldeneyes. Susanna Tapani put the Fleet back in front before a scoreless second period where the teams traded shots.

Aerin Frankel made 17 saves for Boston, while Maschmeyer recorded 24 saves for Vancouver. The Goldeneyes secured their first road victory of the season, winning away from Pacific Coliseum for the first time in six games.
