A 35-year-old woman involved in a series of stabbing incidents in Vancouver’s Yaletown area last October has admitted guilt to all charges against her. Tamara Hamelin was apprehended on October 10 following an incident that led to three individuals being hospitalized with non-life-threatening wounds. Subsequently, four more individuals reported being victims, with accounts of stabbings, physical assaults, or no physical harm.

The victims, consisting of five men and two women aged between 23 and 59, were targeted near David Lam Park along the Yaletown stretch of Vancouver’s seawall. The assaults were characterized by their violent and unprovoked nature, according to law enforcement at the time.

Following her arrest, Hamelin faced charges including four counts of assault with a weapon and two counts of assault. In December, she pleaded guilty in the Vancouver Downtown Community Court and is currently in custody, as confirmed by the B.C. Prosecution Service to CBC News. A sentencing date has been scheduled for March 31, as per court records.
